Emojis are useful and entertaining tools in Slack for getting work done. Emoji can be adapted in a few different ways for your workplace:

  1. To add some personality to your Slack communications, use your own unique emoji.
  2. To add a collection of emoji designed specifically for Slack, install an emoji pack.
  3. Emoji aliases can be used to make finding and using personalized emoji easier.

1. Custom Emoji

How to Add Custom Emoji

Everyone in your workspace or Enterprise Grid org can use custom emoji. JPG, GIF, or PNG-formatted photos up to 128KB in size can be uploaded. GIF animations must have 50 frames or fewer. We advise using 128x128px square photos with transparent backgrounds for the best effects.

  1. From your desktop, click the  smiley face icon in the message field to open the emoji menu.
